Activity Data: Your training activities across all sports, including routes, performance metrics, heart rate data, and power data
Training Metrics: Heart rate zones, power zones, FTP (Functional Threshold Power), and other performance indicators
Technical Data: Activity timestamps, device information, and GPS coordinates (if included in activities)

As an AI coaching application, we retain essential training metrics indefinitely for legitimate coaching analysis, progression tracking, and personalized recommendations.

Our data retention practices:

Essential Training Data: We retain power, heart rate, duration, distance, and other performance metrics indefinitely for coaching analysis and progression tracking
Detailed API Cache: Detailed Strava API response data is automatically cleaned up after 7 days (compliance with Strava's cache requirements)
Deleted Activities: If you delete an activity from Strava, it will be removed from j4 Coach within 48 hours (compliance requirement)
Profile Information: Basic athlete profile data is retained for account continuity and coaching personalization
User Control: You can remove cached API data while keeping training metrics, or completely disconnect your account through settings

5. Your Data Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Access: You can view all your data within the J4 Coach application
Cache Removal: You can remove cached Strava API data while keeping essential training metrics
Complete Deletion: You can completely disconnect your account and delete all training data
Correction: Data corrections should be made in your Strava account, which will sync automatically
Withdrawal: You can revoke access permissions at any time through your Strava account settings
Data Portability: Your training data remains accessible for your coaching needs

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

All data transmission occurs over encrypted HTTPS connections
Access tokens are stored securely and never exposed to clients
Regular security audits and updates
Limited access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
